About Logan Christopher

Logan Christopher has been called a physical culture renaissance man for his work in many different areas of fitness and strength training. While many people become experts in one specific area he seeks to master them all.

As a performing strongman he has pulled an antique fire truck by his hair, juggled kettlebells that have been lit on fire, performed weighted back flips, supported half a ton in a wrestler’s bridge position, along with many more old-time strongmen feats such as phone book tearing and nail bending.

In addition to his strength training, Logan has gone on to explore the world of mental training and sports psychology. He is an NLP Master Practitioner, a certified hypnotist, and has studied many fields from energy medicine to Chinese tonic herbalism in order to help support the goals of peak performance.

Can you share one of your habits that contribute to your success in the gym? That I’ve turned it into a real habit. If I don’t workout for more than a couple days I begin to get depressed. I do some form of movement pretty much every single day.

What are your favourite exercises? There’s a lot of them. Kettlebell snatch, handstand pushups, pullups, deadlift, bending steel, rack pulls, hill sprints.

What are your favourite muscle groups to train? I really don’t think in terms of muscle groups much. My favorite to train are tendons, ligaments and bones not muscles.

What are your favourite pieces of equipment? Bodyweight, kettlebells and barbells.

What is currently on your workout music playlist? Sabaton.

How do you psych up for a workout or set? Use of the same music as an anchor, Hercules pre-workout formula, physiology and breathing shifts and visualization.

What was one exercise or routine that gave you great gains in muscle mass and/or strength? I really enjoy the combination of handstand pushups and pullups.

What’s your favourite way to speed up recovery between workouts? Hypnosis (I created my own audio track to listen to after workouts) and good nutrition, including herbal supplements.

What’s your favourite meal? Steamed broccoli with grass-fed butter and a big steak.

What’s your favourite cheat meal and how often do you indulge? I love ice cream. Sometimes its frequently, other times not. There’s not set cheat time for me.

What supplements do you feel work well for you? Supermanherbs.com. My favorites are pine pollen, ant extract and shilajit. Also regularly take Vitamin D.

What do you do to relax? Watch movies. Read books. Sit in a sauna. Spend time with friends. Go out in nature.
