Disney has announced that the Episode VIII The Last Jedi merch will be going on sale September 1st.  The range of merch will include toys, collectables, books, clothes and more.  They are calling the event Star Wars Force Friday II.  The on sale date time is officially 12:01am that Friday.  To add to this, the packaging for the new line of merch was also revealed.  It features Rey, Poe, and Finn. So, a few weeks ago when they announced “The Last Jedi” as the title for Episode VIII we were all curious.  Luke? Rey? ...Kylo?  No one knew.  Well, we have a little more information regarding what the word “Jedi” in the title may actually point to.  The title has been officially revealed in multiple languages.  The language we’ll focus on here is German.  With the title in German, the words “The Last” help to point to whether “Jedi” is being used in it’s singular or plural form.  The newly revealed German title is “Die Letzten Jedi”.  For those that don’t speak German (we don’t either), that title uses the plural version, meaning multiple Jedi.  If it were to point to a singular Jedi, it would be “Der Letzte Jedi.  So that’s that! We have official confirmation that the title of Episode VIII is referring to the last of the Jedi, as a collective group, and not as a singular individual.  This leaves us with the question, who are they referring to?  Obviously Luke and Rey are within this collective group, but who else?  Will we see more Jedi coming out of the background from hiding? Will Kylo be redeemed and rejoin Luke to help battle Snoke and the First Order?  So many questions!!!!
We officially have a more badass looking Rey, as featured in the packaging revealed with the Force Friday II announcement.  She is supporting a longer hairstyle and letting it fall at this point.  Her outfit seems a little more aggressive, adding some darker colors to what we saw in Episode VII.  And she is clearly equipped with Luke’s lightsaber.  Very excited to see what Episode VIII holds for Rey.
