As of 2010, there were 1.1 billion religiously unaffiliated people--accounting for about one-in-six people worldwide, and growing. The New Atheism is a movement that is evangelistic in its fervent belief that religion should not simply be tolerated but should be countered, lambasted and exposed by rational science as an absurdity. Is this denial of God a rational hypothesis?
