It seems every few days a news story surfaces of a single mother's new "boyfriend" harming the child she had with another man. From physical, emotional and sexual abuse to murder of both the mother and child, it is apparent that when a child has a mother who is dating a man not that child's father, the risk to the child of harm or death is markedly increased. Statistics bear this out. Statistics also show that black children are at especially high risk as upwards of 70% of our youths live in single parent homes. 

We'll be discussing this very complex issue and how single mothers can have both a romantic life AND keep their children (both male and female) safe from harm.
