American Policies towards the State of Israel

In this episode of Your Second Opinion, Sarah Stern joins the Haym Salomon Center podcast host Mike Siegel to discuss Endowment for Middle East Truth’s work to influence American policies on issues concerning the State of Israel. Ms. Stern is the founder and president of Endowment for Middle East Truth (EMET), a pro-America and pro-Israel think tank and policy center based in Washington, D.C. Sarah Stern has had a rather lengthy history of advocacy for the United States of America, the State of Israel, and the Jewish people. After a few years of doing this, pro-bono, Sarah was hired by the Zionist Organization of America to be their National Policy Coordinator (from 1998 through 2004). After that, she became the Director of the Office of Legislative and Governmental Affairs of the American Jewish Congress (from 2004 through April of 2006). Sarah played a major role in the drafting and passage of many pieces of legislation, including the Syria Accountability Act, the Koby Mandell Act, and the resolution in support of Israel’s right to build a security fence. Sarah has written many articles, and has been published in Commentary, The New Republic, InFocus, FrontPageMag.com, The Jerusalem Post, the Washington Jewish Week, The Middle East Quarterly, American Thinker and Breitbart. Sarah is the editor and author of the highly acclaimed book, “Saudi Arabia and the Global Islamist Terrorist Network: America and the West’s Fatal Embrace”, which was published by Palgrave MacMillan in November of 2011. Additionally, she is the author of “Cherished Illusions”, (2005, Balfour Books), and has written a chapter in Frank Gaffney’s widely acclaimed book, “War Footing” (Naval Press. 2006).
