Geek Revolution Radio #154 – Halloween Is Coming

October 17, 2016

There are so many things to love about the Halloween season.  Everything from campy horror films to spooky decorations, the guys at Geek Revolution Radio love this time of year.   From pumpkin carving to costume parties, it is pretty clear that Halloween is upon us.  This week Ryan and Will talk about all there is to love about the season.

Part One – Intro
To start off the show, the guys dived into Star Wars talk with the potential of a Obi Wan Kenobi spin off film.  As the Disney and Lucas Films start pumping out new Star Wars movies, what are the likelihood that we’ll see Ewan McGregor in his own stand-alone film.  People in the McGregor camp have shown interest in a film of his own, but who knows if Lucas Films will come on board.
The guys also discussed what potential there is for other stand-alone films, as well as live action films.  Both Ryan and Will agree that there is a demand for it, which will definitely be seen in the box office for Rogue One.
Part Two – Halloween Season
For the main part of the show the guys talked about Halloween and how much the holiday means to the guys.  Halloween has something for all generations.  From kids trick or treating, to adults going to dress up parties, Halloween has so much to offer.  Horror movies alone are enough to get excited for the season, as there that come close to a good scare.
The guys also discussed the film Trick or Treat, and how it is essentially the “Christmas Story” of Halloween.  It represents well all that is good about the Halloween season.  From the campy, cheesy nature of the film, to the folklore and scariness from the film, both Will and Ryan say it is a good way to kick off the Halloween season.
