Discovery and the Ego

We don't realize how crafty our ego really is, the ego is so smart it can trick us without us even knowing it. When we think we're on a path to discover something new spiritually, we don't take into consideration the fact, that the ego is playing a big role in our seeking. The ego, starts to understand that in this search, it can die. The last thing the ego wants, is to die.

Therefore, the ego tricks us in our search and are discovering and in our exploring, to the point where we lose sight of what we are really searching for.
