Jesus says, “I will never reject anyone who comes to me.” All of us have experienced rejection. The beautiful thing about this promise, and Jesus never lies, is that He will never reject us.
Remember the good thief at the crucifixion. He came to Jesus and Jesus did not reject him. Jesus told him, “Today you will be with me in paradise.”
But what does it mean to come to Jesus? We can come to church, to the prayer meeting, even to Holy Communion, and yet not come to Jesus.
We need to learn to have honest conversations with the Lord in order to draw close to Him — trusting that no matter what, He will never reject us.
