Mattel loses DC Licence

So about a month ago we got the news that Mattel has lost their DC figure toy licenses and I was upset with the news because I felt that the Multiverse line was just starting to get good. I am wondering if anyone thinks it is possible that we get a Marvel Legends situation where you had Toybiz have the line, then Hasbro obtained the rights and they made some changes and kept on with the Legends line, could this happen with the Multiverse line or is it more likely that once it leaves Mattel we will get no more Multiverse waves?
