Before joining Development Strategies Group, Doug Moorman served as the Vice President, Economic Development for the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. Doug led a team of economic development professionals through the Cincinnati USA Partnership, the regional economic development initiative directed by the Chamber and designed to grow the regional economy through business attraction, job retention and regional marketing. During his tenure at the Partnership, the organization was twice recognized by Site Selection Magazine as one of the nation’s Top Ten Economic Development organizations.


Doug has also held a number of positions in state government including serving as the Executive Assistant for Business and Industry to Governor Bob Taft, and Chief of Staff to Lieutenant Governor Maureen O’Connor.


While serving in state government, Doug helped to devise the Governor Taft’s Third Frontier program, a tech-based economic development initiative, create and utilize Ohio’s Job Retention Tax Credit, elimination of the corporate franchise tax and business tax reform, increasing the resources available for transportation projects, prison privatization, juvenile sentencing reform and establishing OPLATES, Ohio’s on-line vehicle registration system.
