Steve asks for a request of the listeners: Raise your hand if you have ever had a bad real estate experience. He himself sates that he raises his hand and reflects just a bit on his experience. Steve talks about how important it was to him, as a father and a husband, to stand strong and shoulder the stress that came from his significantly hard experiences at the end of his last real estate transaction. These events were so overwhelming that is was a severe disappointment, create a feeling that he had let his family down. Of course, this is not the case. And honestly, this event is one of the reasons he chose to enter the real estate industry in Louisville KY. He knew that others, just like him, were also experiencing troublesome issues in real estate from time to time. He believed by getting into the business that he could change that, impact his clients one at a time, ensuring that they would not go through the same as he did.

Rob talks about data that is important to the market. But then takes one element of these elements and takes apart the data to show why it is significant. He looks at 3 price points: $100,000 - $150,000; $200,000 - $250,000; and $400,000 - $500,000. We take a look at the number of homes currently for sale, versus the number of homes that have sold. The interesting point that is uncovered is that sellers, in order to successfully sale, need to be in the top 10% - 20% of the competition depending on price point. The question that a homeowner looking to make a transition should be asking their professional is "What do I need to do to be relevant in the top 10-20%?"
