This week we sat down with our buddy Brandon from Kindred Path to talk about the strangely overwhelming homosexual overtones of Nightmare on Elm Street 2. This movie was absolutely hilarious on its own and really wasn't even supposed to be made (but gosh, are we ever glad that it was!). The movie follows a young Jessie Walsh as he navigates his nightmares, gym coach, and probable latent homosexuality in a fun romp which ends in a bewildering bit of bloodshed. We wondered a LOT of things during the course of this movie, like: whats up with those baby dogs? what exactly is the extent of Freddy's power over Jessie and even the waking world? Is Freddy REALLY that scary in the real world? How many butts are in this movie? Did Jessie stuff his underoos or was he going all natural?
Our big question this week is: HOW THE HELL DID NO ONE SUSPECT JESSIE OF KILLING THE GYM TEACHER?!?
There's a lot of blood but strangely not a lot of scares in this 1985 classic, but hell, watch it anyway!
