In this episode, we discuss the depressed brain with psychology & biology lecturer Dr. Marwa Azab.

Dr. Azab was always interested in why humans do what they do from a very young age. This interest compelled her to complete a bachelor in psychology and a masters degree in counseling psychology, at which point she felt that her education lacked an important component. In order to attain a more holistic understanding of why we do what we do, she completed a PhD in Biological Sciences down the street at University of California, Irvine - UCI. She has done many things including teaching and counselling. She currently teaches at Cal State University, Long Beach and UCI in both the psychology and biology departments. She is also a public speaker on a variety of topics.
