Jim Freire began using cannbis recreationally and for symptoms resulting from knee surgery in 1975. His curiosity about cannabis led to extensive study about the plant, both historically and chemically, including a Masters in Organic Chemistry. As the 70's progressed, Jim began making hash oil and found even more opportunity to study extraction chemistry and the physical characteristics of cannabis. With the 80's came extensive persecution and hinderence to working with the plant itself beyond breeding work in Northern California, and, of course, more stufy of the cannabis plant. With the 90's came the emerging popularity of the internet, and with the large body of knowledge Jim had assemled, he became the first devoted Medical Marijuana forum moderator online. From there he took on the role of Medical Forum Head on all three major cannabis websites, as well as becoming a respected Director for the American Association for Medical Cannabis (AAMC). During this time, Jim began developing home remedies using cannabis plants and was able to successfully recommend various strains and components for specific ailments. When the government began shutting down the Medical Marijuana websites, and the Oregon Medical Marijuana Act (OMMA) passed, Jim devoted himself to using and applying his large body of practical knowledge and research information to medical patients using Medical Marijuana to treat their diseases and pain. Presently, Jim makes orally active Cannabis products for lisenced OMMA patients as he is allowed under the law.
