This episode we talk to Andrew Fogg, Chief Data Officer of Import.io, about big data, data journalism and building a tech startup near London's Silicon Roundabout.

Andrew Fogg is a technology entrepreneur and data scientist. In 2008, Andrew along with David White and Matthew Painter, setup fin-tech startup Kusiri to provide forensic search capabilities to help banks and accountants get easy access to data. Building on the experience and technology of Kusiri, Andrew, David and Matthew, sold their business and setup Import.io.

Import.io create tools to help democratise data and are on a mission to restructure the web. Since the company was founded in 2012, Import.io have received $4.3M of investment, launched a suite of products and have thousands of regular users, from data journalists to developers.
