Hey Phiilip,

My name is Fritz Klug and I am a reporter living in Michigan. I am listen to a lot

I, too, am what you would call a jack of all trades. I work for MLive, the largest media organization in Michigan doing a wide range of stuff: from reporting, to photos and video, to database creation and setting up live video streams, even community engagement and social media.

Lots of stuff.

I enjoy because it shows that I can do many different things (I am amazed by it too). But it is really frustrating when a few things come up that need to be done well. Then you really need to have the power of three people work on it full time.

I loved the conversation you had with Brett on Systematic  — I haven’t heard or read about someone who has a similar job experience as I do. I am currently thinking about switching jobs (to what, I don’t know, so many things I do now) and would love to hear more about your thoughts about being a jack of all trades. Have you found it sustainable? Is it something you’d do again if you had a new position?
