What was the year that the first "Legend of Zelda" game was released for sale in the United States?
1988
1987*
1983
1991
"The Legend of Zelda" for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) was first released in the US and Europe in 1987. It was considered ahead of its time when it was released, as it was the first video game ever that offered players a chance to save their game.

"Mario Bros." was first released in 1983 for the NES.
"Zelda II: The Adventure of Link" was first released in 1988 for the NES.
Finally, "The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past" was first released in 1991 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES).

Traditionally, Link does not speak in any games. However, in one "Legend of Zelda" game, he has a brief dialogue. What does he say?
"That hurt!"
"No!"
"Stop!"
"Come on!"*
In "Wind Waker", Link can say "Come on!" to rally Medli/Makar to follow him. This action is controlled by the player, so the speech isn't in a cutscene.

The reason that Link has no dialogue is mostly because each player has a different perception of him. If the voice of Link doesn't assimilate to that of a player's anticipation, the quality of Link would be compromised. However, grunts and expressions of pain are allowed to give Link a voice (so he's not mute). Personally, I can't even imagine Link's voice if he were to actually talk, and if the voice I hear didn't match closely to what my subconscious standards are, I'm confident I'd be disappointed. Imagine Mario speaking (aside from "Okey-dokey" and "It's-a-me, Mario!"), perhaps these main characters just aren't the type that should be talking.

Forms of "The Legend of Zelda" have been created outside of the video game industry. Which of the following was a form that had never been created?
Action figures/figurines/dolls
Comic books
Movies*
Television shows (cartoons)
Comic books have been made regarding the video games' stories. Not all video games of "Legend of Zelda" have been copied into comic form, but many have, including "Ocarina of Time" and "Minish Cap".
Cartoons of "Legend of Zelda" have also been made. They featured the NES "Legend of Zelda" games, and were aired on a 'Super Mario' show that was on the air at the same time.
Action figures of Link, Zelda, and Ganon have been created by a company called Toysite. However, the company went under renovation and never released action figures of Sheik, Darunia, etc.
