Nearly 73% of those with sleep apnea have significant depression, but after CPAP therapy that number dropped to only 4%. Sleep apnea is a common sleep disorder afflicting at least 25 million U.S. adults.And... a text a day may keep the doctor away? Texting patients regular reminders like eat right, exercise more and smoke less may be effective in helping them make lifestyle changes, suggests new research. Just 4 texts a week for 6 months made a difference in reducing their weight, blood pressure, cholesterol and tobacco use.
