Portland Pop Music PleasureCast Episode 35

January 27, 2015

In this week’s episode Thomas runs through his top 5 albums of 2014, the classic 80’s movie Rad is referenced once again, Mark confesses his admiration for Michael Keaton, Thomas beats Mark to playing a band from Portland…..Maine! Also, Thomas randomly says “marry me”, the new Viet Cong album is discussed, Thomas incorrectly states the base-city for the Vogue Dots, and then Mark incorrectly states the corresponding Canadian territory to which the city doesn’t belong. If you listen closely, you’ll notice that Mark says “Q Lazzarus” in an odd fashion because he actually said "Lazzarus Q" throughout the episode and then went and edited it to make it seem like he got it right the whole time. Featuring: Apple of My Eye (The Upholsterers), Electric Jesus (Mad Rad), Ham Sandwich (Shabazz Palaces), Billions of Eyes (Lady Lamb the Beekeeper), Adult Diversion (Alvvays), Way with Silence (Vogue Dots), Goodbye Horses (Wild Beasts’ Jon Hopkins and Hayden Thorpe), Queen (Perfume Genius), Shake it Off (Taylor Swift)
