Episode 13: Baseball HOF’s Jon Shestakofsky On Induction Weekend FAQs And Much More!

August 17, 2018

With the Yankees celebrating the 20th anniversary of the famed 1998 squad this weekend at the Stadium, I thought it would be rather timely to talk with our friends in beautiful Cooperstown, New York. After all, there are two core members of that team who will undoubtedly be first ballot Hall of Famers; Mariano Rivera is up for induction in 2019 and Derek Jeter follows in 2020.
Jon Shestakofsky is the Vice President of Communications and Education for the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. He does a great job here of filling you in on everything you need to know for an Induction Weekend upstate. Plus, Jon sheds some light on current Yankees who are represented in the Hall’s exhibits, how the HOF obtains memorabilia and what it was like to watch the game’s biggest rivalry from the perspective of the Nation; Shestakofsky came to the Hall from the Red Sox organization, where he worked parts of nine postseasons and most recently served as Manager of Media Relations and Baseball Information for the team.
Thank you to Jon for giving us so much time and another great episode – hope you feel the same way. If you do, be sure to rate/review/subscribe wherever you get us. Thanks!
