The Animal Wise Radio team takes up conversation with two pioneers in the no-kill movement. Bonney Brown, Principal with HumaneNetwork.org, and formerly Exec. DIr of the Nevada Humane Society, worked to make Reno one of the safest cities for animals in the U.S. As she led community transformation, her own finesse and hustle infused the programs of the no-kill equation. She has since taken that experience and skill to others via workshops, a certification program in life-saving sheltering at Univ. of the Pacific, and through Humane Networks consulting programs, so that new leaders can emerge.

We'll also join Peter Masloch of NoKillAllegany.com, known for his passion for change in sheltering in his Maryland Community. We'll cover the challenges and the ups and downs that come with the work. Michael Mountain, of EarthInTransition.org, considers how the overused sentiment that, "I am not an animal!" is an untenable fiction.
