Our Attention Aint What It Used To Be - Pause. Think. Consider.

September 27, 2016

Jesse Liebman discusses the research behind how our average attention spans have decreased by 33% between 2000 and 2013 and are now 1 second shorter than a goldfish. Looking at popular movies and songs of each decade we can see a similar correlation between the length, time and/or the format to further showcase how generationally our attentions have decreased. Unplugging, getting out into nature, finding opportunities to work and focus on a single project and task along with consuming longer format content are all tactics we need to take to mitigate the damages being caused by social media and our multi-screen environments.
