Mary Gavin – Chief of Police Falls Church Police Department

Mary Gavin, Police Chief, Falls Church Police Department, was born and raised in Fairfax County, Virginia and spent 22 years on Arlington County Virginia’s Police force. The combination made her a great candidate for her current position. Andy and Gavin discuss her involvement with the Washington Regional Alcohol Program (WRAP) and what it takes to fulfill its mission to stop drunk driving. Gavin loves working in law enforcement and shares her thoughts on what it means to her and how she sees her role over the years and moving forward. Andy mentions the incoming Amazon H2Q. Gavin has a clear idea of how that will impact Northern Virginia. She has the experience from her work in Arlington County to ready her department.
