May 05, 2015

Episode 8
Interviewing Mountain Leader Kate Worthington from RAW Adventures and Climb Snowdon about working in the mountains of Snowdonia, gaining her Winter Mountain Leader award and helping combat litter in outdoor challenge events
We first met Kate Worthington on the side of a mountain during a Three Peaks challenge nearly a decade ago, and it is always great to speak with her. We caught up with Kate online to find out about her experiences working as an outdoor professional, developing her qualifications and how to balance being a parent, an instructor, a businesswoman and being an outdoor athlete.
In this episode...
Kate is a Summer and Winter Mountain Leader, and with her husband Ross she runs RAW Adventures, a business providing outdoor activities , services and training in the heart of Snowdonia.
We talk about how Kate got into working in the outdoors, how she developed her skills and qualifications and her work with the Real Three Peaks Challenge - a group working to reverse some of the litter and damage caused by the National Three Peaks Challenge.
