A Brief History of Aldergate - Part I: Birth of a University

The City of Aldergate is ancient far beyond recorded history. The University itself, however, was chartered in 1141 - under circumstances as turbulent and mysterious as those of the present day. In Part I of this historical detour we travel from the mists of prehistory right up until the death of Henry the Young King - possibly the first murder connected to the University, and certainly not the last.
