How Young is too Young at Disney?

Hey everyone, I’m Mike, she’s Sophie, that’s Brenda, and he’s Grogu, and we’re On the Road with Mickey! This is episode 203 and this week we’re asking the question How Young is too Young at Disney? We’ve compiled a list of helpful things, and we’d like to know what we missed! Here’s what we talked about:

  • Cheddar from the Big Cheese:
    • Mike: As we reported in previous episodes, Country Bear Jamboree is being redone with a new show. It will be closed for a while starting on January 27th and will reopen later this summer.
    • Brenda: So, I don’t know if you realize it or not but this past Tuesday was the first day since Covid that anyone ordered a mobile order for a quick-service meal and used the dining plan.
    • Sophie: Starting production in 2024 – the new movie COMING TO THEATERS, The Mandalorian & Grogu!

  • Connect with us! Here’s how:

  • Feature Topic: How Young is too Young at Walt Disney World?
    • In this week’s show, we’re taking a look at traveling to Walt Disney World with young children.
    • Children under age 3 are admitted free.
    • Often, there are times when you remember the memory even when your child doesn’t.
    • Disney has baby-care centers at each of the parks.
    • Of course, there are rides that your younger ones perhaps won’t be able to ride.
    • Child swap is an option on some rides.
    • Meet and greets in the parks; or, character meals are a good idea as well.
    • Don’t forget that you can bring your own snacks in.
    • You can leave to go back to the resort for naps and then return later.
    • Don’t forget that there is a LOT to do at the resort!
      • Heated pools
      • Movies under the stars
      • Campfire Smores at Fort Wilderness
      • High Tea at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

    • Free activities – Take a casual ride on the Skyliner, even if you aren’t staying at a Skyliner resort!
    • If you aren’t a big Disney fan, Dad can go golf or play pickleball or go fishing while the kids and Mom are at the parks.
    • In the end, the key is to create as memory memories with your kids as you can because they are grown up in the blink of an eye!

  • This Day in Disney History for January 15:

  • Disney Who’s Who Character
    • Jessie from Toy Story 2

  • A little bit of Walt
    • “Because the eye is the most sensitive and dependable of our sense organs, the motion picture offers the widest, direct avenue to our emotions. Whereas the still picture can suggest only a fragment of fact or fiction, the cartoon-in-motion is without limit in communicating ideas, events, and human relations.”– Walt Disney
