Yes - I would suggest to wait a few hours to make sure Apple does not pull the update but you should be safe to update right away

Colin Ball and I discus this question with great depth. There are numerous options for consuming content with a cable subscription. Netflix, Hulu, MLB, MLS, Amazon Prime, are all services we suggest to use when you do not have cable. I would say that there are two main reason people want to cut the cord: saving money and convenience.

I have a four step test to see if you should cut the cord. 1) Analyze what you watch on TV for approximately two weeks and write down the programs you normally watch. 2) Check and see if the programs you watched would be available without a cable subscription. 3) Do the math and make sure that the services you would have to subscribe to are not more expensive than having cable. 4) Make sure you have the hardware needed to stream to your TV.
