Hats off to UPS – United Parcel Service.  Not only have they become the cornerstone of Amazon’s nationwide speedy delivery service, but they are doing it with fewer carbon emissions….primarily from natural gas.

In 2007, UPS set a goal to reduce overall CO2 emissions 10% by 2016.  They hit the target three years early and are now upping their game to knock off another 20% by 2020.

One of the biggest components of their strategy is converting more of their fleet trucks to natural gas.  And in doing so, they’re saving nearly $2-dollars a gallon in fuel, which goes straight to the bottom line.

This is smart business.  We have an enormous supply of natural gas in our country and it’s time to start putting it to good use like UPS is.
