For busybodies such as myself, it can be difficult to slow down and relax on vacation. I've tried several ways to break the vacation ice, from booze to backpacking. As with most things, music is the most reliable solution. Losing yourself in that is a vacation in itself and can enhance your surroundings just as well as it can help escape it.

So Occasion Vibration and myself both turned thirty this month! I took a vacation to Kauai with my wife to celebrate and made this mix during the trip. As such, it's chalk full of tropical island vibes in various forms - new age, dub, balearic, funk, soul, etc. The first half hour is tranquil and the second half picks it up half a notch.
