Coding

October 21, 2014

Computer programming is as solitary a pursuit as they come. Outsiders often assume it's terribly boring, which it certainly can be. However losing yourself in the infinitely logical universe of code where you can bring anything you can imagine on a screen to life is one of the greatest pleasures I've experienced. This mix with help you get lost in that zone of joyful productivity.

Turns out that techno, the first music genre inspired by computers, is also the best genre to program computers with. The mix starts out in a sequence of futuristic, hypnotic techno to suck you into the project you're working on. About halfway through, the subtle droning rhythms give way to more pronounced beats, a boost in energy signaling that it's time to start cranking the actions-per-minute. An hour later you'll have gotten some meaningful and rewarding work done and be ready for a well deserved break.
