Occasion Vibration

Barbecue

September 19, 2014

Barbecuing on a hot summer evening is both an enjoyable and noble pursuit. Not only do you get to enjoy the nice weather, you’re also not making the house unbearably hot. Yet all too often these heroic grill masters find themselves cooking alone outside. Fortunately, the loneliness of these smokey warriors can be remedied with a podcast designed to make grilling a party.

Old school flavors abound in this charcoal influenced installment of Occasion Vibration. The first half opens with a sequence of slow r&b tracks to relax the grill master as the barbecue is cleaned and heated up. Tempo escalates into some contemporary disco tracks as meat is thrown on the grill, signifying to the grill master that this is game time. 45 minutes into the mix, the smokey business should be complete and the mix smooths out into more streamlined cuts as the spoils of battle are plated.
