Happy New Year! Hope everyone is ready to jump in feet first!

Not into the trends, though. It seems like during the first week of each new year, we've got to bring out what the Trendsetters are thinking.

This year I think they are a bit late on some of the them, at least the list I found.

And not sure we agree with a lot of their forecasting as usual.

Included in the discussion and opinions is the pickleball craze, not going to call it a trend because people are pretty adamant about it. I have a problem with stuff that has a dumb name, however, so I don't think I'm going to be joining any leagues any time soon. Although I do love pickles.

The most offensive trend we unearthed was "faux fish". Yep, you read and heard that right...fake fish. Apparently, they're working on a plant-based version of fish. I don't know about that.

I also don't know about the whole "caffeinated drink" without coffee thing. I share a great article from NYT Wirecutter about one reporter's 7-day MUDWTR journey and our conclusion is stick with coffee and take your mushrooms in pill form.
