I currently work as a freelance Art Director, UI/UX Designer, Illustrator, and a Speciality Printmaker. A proud Chicagoan happily transplanted to Oakland by way of San Francisco working with clients and teams face to face and remotely for the past 10+ years.   Marketing, UI/UX/Screen design, Identity and Brand has been my professional career focus. But I’ve been learning and producing digital and handmade prints in tandem with my career. I’ve had the advantage of working with a diverse group of clients, from leading agencies to grassroots companies and start-ups listening and defining their unique needs to make sure the design is reflective of the brand and captivates the audience.   I was raised with a foundation in creative arts; my maternal grandmother was a talented mosaicist, my mother is a painter & pastry artist, my father is a retired welder and has made beautiful sculptures, I also have aunts and uncles gifted in ceramics and textiles. My younger brother has done some fantastic graffiti lettering and my older brother is extremely quick and engineer minded.    Growing up I received my first set of paints from my mom. After learning cursive I obsessively drew the capital “L”. As I got older I studied watercolor and oils privately but fell in love with watercolors. Towards the end of high school I studied photography, film and collage. After graduation I focused on fine art photography at Columbia College in Chicago. I struggled during that time focusing and took time off from my studies. I longed for a more creative day to day output so I went back to school at the Illinois Institute of Art in Schaumburg and received my Associates in Multimedia Production and Web Design as well as my Bachelors in Interactive Design.   The majority of my career was spent in Chicago but I love northern California, after 4 years it feels like home.
