God won't force anyone to go to Heaven who doesn't want to. Sin was dealt with 2,000 years ago. The solution is a gift, which can either be received or rejected.

Many people believe that God is out to punish us for our sin. But the Bible says something different. God is not mad at you today because sin was dealt with on the cross.

There is a faulty assumption out there that God is in control of everything that happens in this world, including both the good things and the bad things. But the truth is that God is not the only force working in this world.

When Jesus was on this earth he only ever healed people. We never see him making people sick in the Gospels. On the cross Jesus was cursed so we could have his abundant life right here and now in this world.

God does not bring bad things on us or cause calamity in our world today. He is not trying to teach us any lessons through suffering. God is indeed with you through the trial, but that does not mean he brought that trial onto you.

Jesus said we have an enemy that comes against us with a very specific purpose. He also said his own purpose was very different. These two purposes are at odds with one another. Knowing them will give us clarity when things come at us in life.

Let's kick this podcast off by talking about one of the reasons Jesus came to this earth. In fact this is one of the things he said was part of is purpose for coming to Earth in the first place.
