Weather rewind:
-Wet and unseasonably cold early in the week .
-Another late season storm retrograded in from western Nevada to bring heavy rain and t’storms to much of NorCal.
-Skies cleared on Wednesday, but t’storms continued to rage over the Sierra crest.
-Total rainfall this week reached 0.90″ in just a few hours on Tuesday afternoon.
-Gorgeous Memorial day weekend brought us daytime highs in the low 80s.

Weekly Forecast:
-High pressure will peak on Tuesday with daytime highs in the upper upper 80s or low 90s in Western Nevada County.
-Slight cooling possible midweek, but not by much.
-A return of t’storms next weekend for the Sierra as our daytime highs soar into the low 90s even in Nevada City.
-Long range forecast maps keep us dry and hot through the next 7-10 days.
-Time to get that beach body back in shape!
*Statewide Sierra snow pack is at around 29% of normal for this date!

April – June Precipitation and Temperature Outlook: Warmer with an increased chance of precipitation!

The BloomSky weather station up in Squaw Valley is losing it’s snow fast! Summer is just around the corner.

Current reservoir levels still look great as the snow slowly melts in the high country.

Satellite shows a High pressure offshore keeping us warmer and dry.

The jet stream will remain to our far north.

Forecast models look dry until Friday as t’storms return for the weekend.

The precipitation outlook map for the coming week will focus rain to the far east and over the Sierra.
