November 20, 2014

We know how difficult it can be to think about each and every meal. As soon as one is eaten it’s time to think about the next. It’s time to plan ahead and take back the control over your time, money and your waistline.

This week join Amy Monarch and Teresa Leberknight of The Monarch and Dr T as they share with you the best ways to get yourself out of a diet rut.

They will share tips and tricks to lower your sugar intake and how to plan your meals for the week ahead. This will save you both time and money, taking the pressure out of your weekly meals. .

Have a Fresh Start

Sometimes you need to refresh your outlook and gives things a little shake up. It is all too easy to get stuck in a food rut and slide into eating all the wrong foods, and you might not even be aware of it until it’s too late.

Take some time to talk it out with someone. This way you can make a record of all the foods you’re eating and where that sugar is sneaking itself into your diet.

Refreshing your outlook and raising your awareness of your sugar intake is the first step to eliminating it from your diet. Taking back the control is the first step towards a new you.

Plan for Success

Planning ahead with your meals is the easiest way to save time, money, and make easy work of dropping those extra pounds.

This can easily be slotted into your daily routine by making sure you always go grocery shopping with a comprehensive list of items. By doing this you will avoid the aisles with candy and chips, and only buy the foods you need.

Avoiding all the extra foods that can sneak into your basket will be kind to your wallet and your waistline. Stopping you from being tempted to make unhealthy food choices.

By prepping your meals for the week ahead you will also save time. You won’t even have to think about what to make, or when you’re going to make it, as everything will be stored and ready to go when you are.

Listen this week as Amy and Teresa answer questions such as:

Where do I start to plan my meals?
How do I begin to cut out sugar?
What is Insulin, and what does it do?
How can I change my routine?
Does sleep really effect weight loss?
How do I make realistic lifestyle changes?
How do I do this, I’m already super busy
How do I snack and still lose weight?

In order to succeed in changing your lifestyle you need to give yourself the right tools. This includes making sure you don’t overload yourself with things you aren’t allowed to do. Don’t give yourself too many ‘red’ lights.

Instead of saying ‘don’t’ and ‘can’t’, just say ‘not right now, maybe later’. Making the best choices in the short term will help you keep making these choices for the long haul.

We want you to share your triumphs with The Monarch and Dr T community. How have you managed to cut down your sugar intake? What recipes have you used, and how did you manage to prep your meals?

Start the conversation on Facebook or the community page of the website and help each other reach their goals. Alternatively leave any comments or questions below, we would love to hear from you!
