In Modifications No.71 we pleased to have Levanna Mclean, probably better known as the YouTube Northern Soul Dancer, introducing five of her favourite Northern Soul dance tracks. Elsewhere we have original mod sounds from Wade Flemons and The Easybeats, and jazz grooves from Ike Turner and Charles Earland. This week's reggae has a distinctive spaghetti western feel with tracks from Baba Brooks and King Stitt, and our blues comes from Howlin'Wolf and Jimi Hendrix. Our soul section looks like a hall of fame with Gene Chandler, Sam & Dave, Ray Charles and James Brown, and we cap it off with a blistering live performance from Jon Lord and The Hoochie Coochie Men.
