Despite a year of choppy, dangerous seas at the box office--resulting in both shipwreck (Noah) and disappointment (Spider-man 2)--Hollywood is furiously chumming the waters at the local multiplex, releasing 10 or more movies a week, hoping desperately to create a feeding frenzy among critics and moviegoers.
