“The Wrong Road Never Leads to the Right Place.”

October 21, 2014

I must admit I love old TV westerns from the 1950’s or 1960’s. While watching one of my favorite black and white TV westerns from a series about a man named Bat Masterson, I heard one of the actors say, “The wrong road never leads to the right place.†I thought to myself, “This is actually a piece of wisdom that aligns with Scripture.†Isaiah 30:21 (NLT) says, “Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say,  “This is the way you should go,†whether to the right or to the left.â€

In each season of our lives we must look for roads that are defined as biblically correct to take us to destinations of positive opportunities and outcomes. Therefore, it’s vital to discern which roads we should turn and travel upon. This is especially important when we reach a place where the road we are currently on forks. We will have to choose to stay on the road we currently travel or go in a new direction offered to us. The choices we make at these critical junctures will determine our destinies. Are you nearing a fork in the road upon which you have been traveling? Be sure to seek God for direction. I’m Dr. Bob. If you have doubts about which way to go, you may be sure the correct choice is already recorded in Scripture. Just stick your nose in the Bible and let the Word speak to you. Then follow the principles that God has given. They will never let you down.
