During the 2004 American presidential election, the race was so close that it came down to a recount of the vote in the state of Florida. This was aggressively contested and it took a decision from the US Supreme Court to declare the winner. Unlike the United States, the Kingdom of God is not a democracy. We don’t get a recount because we don’t get a vote. Our choices in life will already have voted for us. Christ will be the Supreme Court. We all will stand before Him. The Lamb’s Book of Life will be opened, and the Judge above every judge will make His decision based on Heaven’s public record. Revelation 20:12 (NKJV) says, “And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.†Your life’s choices are being recorded in Heaven’s books. What will matter is whether your choices were votes for Jesus? If they were, then you and God will be in agreement. You will be a majority of two. There will be no challenges or further reviews allowed. If your choices have been a vote against Jesus, who is the King of Kings, then there will be no appeal. Every day you have chances to conform your lifestyle to be in agreement with Jesus. When you do, you will be voting for the King of Kings. Consider how the record of your choices in life will be counted, in that day you stand before Him.
