The Mother&DaughterHood Show
Finance: Poverty
In this episode--Episode 10-- we discuss Poverty. We discuss how, although we have talked about several issues when it comes to managing money, it is difficult for those in who are in poverty to adhere to the recommendations that we have talked about thus far. We also talked about why that is true in the form of a somewhat lengthy example. I'm working on a blog post that will go into more detail of our poverty discussion. Our discussion of Poverty wraps up our Finance Topic Series and next week, we'll begin our Education Topic Series with Academic Achievement.
For our fluff topic, we talked about our favorite electronic devices and how they make our lives easier. How do some of your electronics make your lives easier? Do you need your electronics? Let us know!
Bean Bean gave us a movie review on the movie currently in theaters, Home. She says she recommends the movie and she really wants to see it again!
Finally, we dedicated our historical spotlight this week to Sadie Alexander, the second black woman to earn a Ph.D and graduate from the University of Pennsylvania Law School! These are the websites where we located the information on Dr. Alexander:
