In this episode--Episode 25--we discuss Gender Expectations at School.  We begin by reviewing or previous discussions of gender expectations and gender expectations at home.  We talked about some of the ways gender expectations present themselves in the classroom, and why it's important to be aware that they exist.

We review the book Shadowshaper by D.J. Older and we give it 4.5 Hearts out of 5. We definitely recommend this book!

Finally, we give a Historical Spotlight on one of the best known civil rights leaders, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in honor of the observation of his birthday this past Monday, January 18, 2016.  The info for his spotlight came from The King Center and Biography.com.

This episode is also a little longer because we talk about how we'll handle Black History Month.
