This week we are examining common theories surrounding the resurrection of Jesus and hope to give our listeners something to chew on throughout the week. But first we have to establish the facts:
Christ was tried by his enemies, convicted, and crucified to death.
Shortly after his burial, Christ’s tomb was found to be empty.
Many of the disciples (and also one or two skeptics) claimed to have seen Christ alive in the flesh, and interacted with him, following his death.
Inspired by the belief in Christ’s bodily resurrection, the disciples initiated a movement that, despite persecutions and martyrdom, converted millions of people to a new way of life-based on Christ’s example and his teachings.
Today we break down the theory that the body of Jesus was stolen from the tomb (a guarded tomb) - by a band of timid, weak, misfit dudes.
