Tze-Wei Ng, working in the public interest

July 19, 2014

I talk to Tze-Wei Ng about being grateful, the decision-making process of professional choices and we reflect on the challenges for people in Hong Kong balancing financial security with doing something they love.

Tze-Wei first studied law but always wanted to pursue journalism. After taking that plunge she worked as a correspondent for the South China Morning Post in Beijing for six years. Through her work in Beijing her interest in law, and how the rule of law influences the everyday lives of citizens, ignited again. She moved to New York to do a Masters of Law at Columbia university and undertook several internships. We meet her after she has returned to Hong Kong as a Director for PILnet – a global public interest law network.

This interview is 20 minutes and 59 seconds long.
