Hey everyone welcome back to the 3rd episode of the Mantastic Podcast

brought to you by mancertified.com. I’m Sean Kavanaugh and I’m here with my two co-hosts Allen Wilterdink and John Georgelis. How are guys doing, it’s Friday….. Welcome back John, for all of our new listeners we spoke about it briefly, John was away last

Yeahhhhhhh, well… Maybe not

week at a major Drift Triking event. How did it go my friend? I have to say after watching quite a bit of video I’m hooked. It looks like a blast. I’m telling you it’s gonna be X-Game event John. John why don’t you give a bit of background on the sport and your roll in the governing body. Let everyone how they can get involved. Seriously if you haven’t seen it go to youtube and search drift triking and check it out. So Harris how has the summer been for you so far? Tell us about the latest trends, maybe a couple must have cigars for the summer Vaping – John has one New Cigar roll outs, New Boutique cigar companies that are gaining traction. Thanks for coming on with on today buddy we appreciate it very much. Make sure you go to www.thecigarcafe.com for all the latest in Cigar and lifestyle news. In the last couple podcasts we’ve spoken a bit on books and music and manly summer blockbusters and we touched briefly on ultra high tech. My co hosts are much more versed in it than I am so let talk about it. When I think future tech I think about the gesture based holographic browsing and OS in Minority Report with Tom Cruise. You guys have some thoughts on this let hear it. Haven’t we moved to gesture based tablets and PC sans the holograms and clear tablets? although flexible translucent tablets are already on the horizon. http://bgr.com/2014/02/20/samsung-flexible-tablet-laptop-project/ Sony also has flexible screen technology Human Bionics or Augmentation You what I always thought was cool tech and it was really fleshed out in the PS3, XBOX 360 Duex Ex Human Revolution. The game was centered around being able to upgrade you body with cyber enhancements called Human Augmentation. Although this is probably a truly future tech it’s always surprised me that bionics has taken so long to perfect. I mean all you have to do is watch old episode of the 6 million dollar man from the 70s and you can see how it done……God I loved the Sasquatch episodes. Seriously can you imagine the writing staff of that show bringing up where the plot line was going? Everyone must have been blowing weed and tripping hard on LSD.

Guy with robot legs, that are fully functional already. I think the biggest issue scientists and doctors have with bionics is getting natural movement from a prosthetic limb. I have heard we are making great strides in developing synthetic muscle fiber to mimic real muscles and tendons and growing new self regenerating muscle fibers.

DNA Sequencing and Cloning The one thing that has always fascinated me was the technology in Jurassic Park published in 1990 by Michael Crichton and made into a movie of the same name in 1995. Did he have a look inside of a crystal ball or what. I mean this stuff is already here, the biggest issue being finding a full strand of DNA which is proving extremely difficult.

Laser Guns and other Propulsion I loved laser guns and star ships and I admit I still do. I always said no matter how old I get I’m still 12 in my head. Most people would be shocked to know that Lasers are real and ready to be deployed on US navy vessels. The only issue I have is that you can’t visibly see them, a missile flies towards a friendly target and it just starts burning up. If I had one request it’s that they turn all American Lasers blue and all enemies lasers red. It’s just how things should be. http://www.foxnews.com/tech/2014/02/17/us-navy-ready-to-deploy-laser-system-this-summer/
