Super Geeked Up is a live entertainment show that features web series creators and other guests to talk about all things pop culture geeky, as well as the shows that they create. It's a hell of a fun show to tune into every week and it completely distracts me from the work I'm doing around 11pm, but it is well worth it to get some laughs and take part in the show over Twitter.
You can tune in Wednesday nights at 11pm EST and watch the mayhem unfold as hosts Jeff Burns, Tonya Dodds and Nicole Wright invite a slew of guests to debate topics from "What is the most effective weapon in a zombie apocalypse?" to "What was your reaction to the Superman v Batman trailer?". They also play some amazing improv and trivia games during the show and welcome people to join in over Twitter to submit their own answers (which do get read on air if they are funny enough).
At Vancouver Web Fest I did a short episode with Jeff and Nicole where I turned the tables on them and asked them to submit an answer to "Which superhero or supervillain would you sleep with?" Nicole had since left the festival (I assume to avoid answering the question) so we start off this episode with getting her comic-book booty call of choice.
Super Geeked Up is still a young pup having only been on the air for a few years, but it has already become an award-winning show with a great following.
This year they've taken to the road, performing SGU Live at conventions and festivals. Check they're list of planned events this year and see if you can catch one of their shows. You might even wind up a part of the show on-stage.
