Steve Silverman tells all about his new secret series, Club 5150: Episode 100

April 13, 2015

First of all, YAY! This is Limited Release's 100th Episode! God, this podcast feels old all of a sudden.
From now on we're doing away with the whole episode vs. bonusode naming scheme. It's just going to be straight up episodes from now on, sometimes featuring reviews and sometimes featuring interviews. Simple!
And what an episode to ring in the big one-double-O than this fantastic episode with creator Steve Silverman (Pretty, The Inn), who gives up all the dirt a new series he's working on that's been top secret until now.
Steve is the kind of guy who likes to hold his cards close to his chest, waiting until the timing is right before announcing anything big about his projects. And I am so honoured that he decided to reveal on LR the details for his new series in development, Club 5150.
Until now only the show's logo was revealed, but now if you listen to the episode you'll get many, MANY more details including the explanation behind the title, who is cast in it, and when it'll be launched.
Steve cursed my name several times during the episode for all of the juicy details he was giving up (and to my defense, it took very little asking) and we ended up covering much more ground outside of just Club 5150, including how he gets inspiration for his writing, how he gets celebrities excited to act for him, and a story involving a party at Joss Whedon's (Edit: Steve later corrected himself and said it was actually JJ Abrams. I guess when you work in LA like he does, you mix those two up pretty easily. It's tough hanging around stars all the time, eh Steve?)
