As of today Red Spring has reached its IndieGoGo crowdfunding goal: $6,000 in 24 days.
Jeff Sinasac (actor from Clutch, Asset) who wrote the screenplay has said that it is his attempt to help restore vampire movies to what they used to be: hungry and fearsome. No sparkles. No love drama.
He and Tonya Dodds (host Super Geeked Up) are co-producing the feature and have assembled a fine crew of vampire hunters like Lindsey Middleton (Out with Dad), Elysia White (Haphead), Jonathan Robbins (Out with Dad), and notorious cinematographer Tom Antos.
Now would be the time to give towards their stretch goals so you can then sit back and watch the movie happen knowing you helped push it further. With each spurt of blood, you could say "That was what my money went toward." In fact, they should just start selling spurts of blood. What a cool perk: Give $50 to the project and we'll add an extra gallon of bloodiness.
At the end I surprised the two with a vampire movie test to see how much of a fan of the genre these two actually are. Listen to the interview and play along at the end to see if you truly can call yourself a vampire hunter or if you're just cattle.
