Lenore Braford is the founder of the Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge. The Piedmont Farm Animal Refuge (The Refuge) is a non-profit organization that works to rescue farm animals in need, educate people about the cruelties of factory farms, and promote veganism by offering knowledge, support, and community to people interested in living cruelty-free lifestyles. Founded in 2012, The Refuge is located in North Carolina just 15 minutes away from the downtowns of Carrboro, Saxapahaw, and Pittsboro and 20 minutes away from downtown Chapel Hill.
