These will be released every Saturday. Tell us what you think and let us know if you have anything you'd like to recommend!
Show Notes
Vegas's Pick 001 - Orchestra - iOS Application

Getting organized can be a real challenge for me. When I first got my iPhone the first thing I downloaded was the Orchestra to-do list manager at Steve's suggestion. We haven't stopped using it since. I like to call it a social to-do list because it allows you to include other Orchestra users on your different projects/lists. Sure I can use it for personal to-do's and I certainly do. Orchestra really gets its strength from the aspect of assigning or accepting tasks with people you've connected with. When you open a task there is a history of changes that have been made and by who. As if that wasn't cool enough, Steve and I can have a conversation within this task for extra detail! I'm sure I could write a ton about this app but really if you have an iPhone or iPad download this and check it out. Oh and by the way, it's free!
Vegas's Pick 002 - Warm Bodies - Film

When I saw the previews for Warm Bodies admittedly I wasn't too excited about it. It seemed like an interesting concept but I didn't expect much from it. I saw it with some friends and I must tell you I loved it! I won't spoil anything here but the way I could describe it is almost as if you took Zombieland sprinkled it with hints of Romeo and Juliet. It's a fresh take on the whole zombie movie. I've recommended that all my friends go see it. I know some people *cough*Steve*cough* don't care for some of the humour in this movie but it had me laughing quite a bit! There are quite a few lines that may or may have not crept into everyday conversation between friends...Great acting, fantastic music selection, edgy cinematography...go check it out and let us know what you thought about it!
Steve's Pick 001 - Crush It! by Gary Vaynerchuck - Book

I have been meaning to read this book ever since it came out in 2009. Gary first gained massive attention with his video blog Wine Library TV and has since become even more well know as an author and business marketing guru. The book really hones in on the work involved in starting a project or business. The book is very social network and marketing focused at times. In honest there are times where it is a bit outdated just because of how fast the world of social networks speeds ahead, but nonetheless the material is still just as relevant today as it was 3 years ago. The subtitle for the book is "Why now is the time to cash in on your passion", and that really is the subject. I listened to this book on Audible read by Gary, which I cannot recommend more. Gary does a fantastic job reading and, at times, goes off the script to offer you some further insight into what he was feeling at the time of writing or something he has thought about since then. Check out Gary giving a talk on his Crush It book tour. This is Part 1, and you can easily find the other 4 parts from there. I highly recommend the Q & A, some of the questions are quite interesting.

If you are interested in checking out the book (and you really should) you can find it on Amazon here:

Steve's Pick 002 - Kickstarter - iOS app and Rox

Kickstarter is fantastic. The more I look into crowdfunding the more excited I become about it and the possibilities it brings. I have written an article recently on Kickstarter and it's impact on the world of film (http://www.thelistlife.com/2013/kickstarting-the-oscars/). I have been following Kickstarter for some time casually, but have refrained from really focusing on it because of it's lack of a mobile app. Nowadays I very rarely actually turn my computer on.
